Man arrested for parole violation in Kalihi
A 21-year-old homeless man, who was arrested Sunday for parole violation in Kalihi, tried unsuccessfully to run from arresting officers while being taken to the police station and now faces an additional charge of escape.
The suspect was arrested just after 2:30 a.m. for a parole violation and an outstanding warrant.
While being taken to the Kalihi police substation the suspect tried to escape, but was caught after a foot chase.
