Breanna Mackenzie scored 18 points, but the Hawaii Pacific women’s basketball team lost to No. 1 Emporia State (Kan.) 63-53 in the Oahu Thanksgiving Classic on Thursday at Saint Francis School gym.
Sandra Ngoie had 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Hornets (5-0), who held a 55-36 rebounding advantage.
The Sharks fell to 2-3.
>> Kjirsten Nelson scored 13 points and Emily Nelson added 10 points and eight rebounds, but Brigham Young-Hawaii fell to Mary (N.D.) 53-45 at Saint Francis School gym.
Hannah Larson had 14 points and 12 rebounds and Brittney Dietz also scored 14 points for the Marauders (3-2).
The Seasiders dropped to 3-1.
>> Kim Schmetz scored 25 points and Felicia Kolb and Alia Alvarez each added 10, but Hawaii Hilo lost to Armstrong State 70-53 at Saint Francis School gym.
Brigitta Barta finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Pirates (6-0).
The Vulcans fell to 0-4.
