Man arrested on suspicion of burglary during Kaneohe police stakeout

Leila Fujimori

A police crime reduction unit, while conducting surveillance of a Kaneohe business area today, spotted a man allegedly climbing over a fence and into the lot of a business that was closed.

The man was seen at about 1:20 a.m., and while officers searched for the suspect, an alarm sounded at a neighboring business.

Police surrounded the business, and while searching, they found a 27-year-old man with no local address and arrested him at 1:40 a.m. at City Mill, 46-209 Kahuhipa St., on suspicion of second-degree burglary.

I don’t understand how these crooks always have no local address. You telling me people fly in just to rob City Mill and fly out?

Braddah no more home and may be homeless. All the attention on homelessness is deserving I agree, but it’s not just a general homeless population made up of single men and women and families. You have working families, working singles, people with mental health issues & drug issues. You have those that are lawful and those that are unlawful. Appropriate approaches need to be addressed to respond to the homeless problem that’s best for everyone. Right now, the state is trying to shelter everyone and surround them with resources that would help with housing , employment, mental health services, etc. Help those that can be helped, the rest just like help themselves(to other people’s possessions and valuables). Get them off the streets, but it’s about time the government start to realize these guys are not going to shelters. They want to stay in the streets and continue their predatory lifestyle to support their drug habits. The only shelter for this small percentage of homeless is one with bars. Sorry but that’s only my opinion.
