CRASH: Honolulu police officers inspected an overturned vehicle after a traffic collision at Castle Junction in Kailua on Saturday. Initial dispatch reports said three vehicles were involved in a crash, but that was later revised to two. There were no reports of injuries.

A man riding a motorcycle died after crashing head-on with a car in Haleiwa on Friday night.
The crash occurred at 10:50 p.m. at Waialua Beach Road and Oliana Street.
A 36-year-old man driving a car was turning westbound onto Waialua Beach Road from Oliana Street when the motorcyclist, traveling east, collided with the car.
The motorcyclist was ejected from his bike and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was not injured. Police said the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Excessive speed appears to be a factor in the crash, but it is unknown if alcohol or drugs were factors, police said.
This was Oahu’s 45th traffic fatality this year, compared to 54 at the same time last year.
Police warn of callers pretending to be IRS
The Honolulu Police Department is advising residents to immediately hang up on anyone claiming to be an Internal Revenue Service investigator who says the taxpayer owes the government money.
The caller tells the residents that they are under investigation and owe money to the IRS. Residents may think that the caller is legitimate because the caller ID number appears as 529-3111 — the phone number for the HPD’s main line, police said. The caller is able to do this using technology called “spoofing,” which allows callers to use fake caller ID numbers.
Police said the IRS does not contact residents or demand payment by phone.
