LOS ANGELES » Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas’ marriage is officially over.

A Los Angeles judge finalized the actors’ divorce on Friday and the judgment was released today. Griffith filed for divorce in June 2014 after 18 years of marriage.

They first worked together on the set of the 1995 romantic comedy “Two Much,” and Banderas later directed his wife in the 1999 film “Crazy in Alabama.” They have an 18-year-old daughter together.

The pair’s divorce judgment divides the actors’ share of profits from numerous films, including several movies in the “Shrek” franchise. It also states that Banderas will pay Griffith up to $55,000 a month in spousal support.

As a couple, Banderas, 55, and Griffith, 58, intermingled their business and political lives.

They hosted a fundraiser for President Barack Obama in 2011 and also owned a production company together.

Even after Griffith’s divorce filing in June 2014, Banderas spoke of the pair remaining close.

“I want — and I think she does, too — to maintain a relationship because we have spent many years together,” Banderas said in an interview earlier this year. “I would like to maintain a relationship, and it is happening, I speak with her every other day.”

Banderas has served as the voice of the animated character Puss in Boots in the “Shrek” films, played the villain in a “SpongeBob SquarePants” movie and starred in Pedro Almodovar’s two most recent films, “The Skin I Live In” and “I’m So Excited!”

Griffith, who earned an Oscar nomination for her role in “Working Girl,” has in recent years guest-starred on the television shows “Hawaii Five-0,” ”Hot in Cleveland” and “Raising Hope.” In 2003, she won praise for her role in the Broadway revival of “Chicago.”

The marriage was Griffith’s fourth and Banderas’ second.
