Police arrested an 18-year-old California man in Waimanalo Wednesday for allegedly threatening a 45-year-old man and impersonating a police officer.

Police said the younger man allegedly used a dangerous instrument to threaten the older man in Waimanalo at 5:55 a.m. Wednesday, but fled before officers arrived.

Police also said he allegedly impersonated a police officer.

Police later found and arrested the 18-year-old on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and first-degree impersonating a police officer, both felonies, but released him Wednesday without charges pending further investigation.
