A 35-year-old man who was undergoing a mental health evaluation at the Queen’s Medical Center escaped from hospital security shortly before midnight Tuesday.
Police said the man, who has no local address, escaped at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday. He was in police custody on an unrelated allegation.
The man was found off hospital property, and hospital security guards and police took him back into custody, police said.
Police arrested the man at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday on suspicion of second-degree escape and fourth-degree criminal property damage.
