Kaiser Permanente Hawaii is ending Saturday clinic hours as part of a cost-cutting plan.

The state’s largest health-maintenance organization has 245,000 members and 22 medical facilities. It is opening another clinic on Kauai on Feb. 11, but said some facilities were underutilized on Saturdays.

A company spokeswoman said she is working on a statement regarding the decision. More details to come.
