Hydrogen fuel cell car is peppy in test drive

    Rick Ching, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Servco Pacific Inc., and Stan Osserman, the state’s hydrogen implementation coordinator, check under the hood of the Toyota Mirai, a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. Hydrogen and aircombine in the car to create electricity to power the vehicle, leaving water as the Mirai’s only emission. The Mirai will be available to consumers late this year or early next year, after a fueling station can be established.

The Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel cell vehicle replaces vroom with quiet, but more importantly replaces stinky, noxious, gas-powered vehicular exhaust with water as its only emission. Read more
