Police said Ronald Joseph Kong fled on foot into thick forest near Mountain View on Tuesday after he was stopped by officers while driving a stolen pickup truck at about 3:30 p.m. near Kukui Camp Road.
Officers arrested a 31-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, but later released her without charges.
