Police, sheriffs search for missing extended furlough inmate
Oahu Community Correctional Center inmate John Luna, who had been waiting for the parole board to set his release date, failed to check in while on extended furlough Wednesday.
Inmates in the extended furlough program live and work outside of the facility but must check in at various times throughout the month.
Luna, 36, was serving time for first-degree burglary, second-degree robbery, unauthorized possession of confidential personal information and several drug violations. He now faces additional time if convicted of second-degree escape.
He was tentatively approved for parole and was awaiting word from the parole board on his release date.
He is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who sees Luna is advised to call 911.

Stupid is what stupid does
Just wants to remain behind bars, since he has find a job if paroled and it’s tough for an ex-con to compete. At least a prisoner has 3 squares, entertainment/exercise breaks and a bed to sleep on, where there are guards to make certain everything is comfortable?
