Police arrest couple in Makiki car break-in
A homeless couple is in custody after allegedly breaking into a car near Makiki District Park and taking items early Monday morning.
Police responding to a report of a man breaking into a vehicle arrested a 44-year-old homeless man. His 22-year-old female companion also was apprehended nearby.
Both suspects were arrested on suspicion of a breaking into a car following their arrest at 3:05 a.m. on Wilder Avenue. In addition, the woman faces a second-degree theft charge.
