Retired police officer?
Guy who gives responsible gun owners a bad name.
Guy whose only concern is not that someone died — but that this tragedy might give him and his ilk “a bad name”. Guess what? Your insensitivity and self-centeredness has already brought that about.
So sorry, Hanabata, but I totally agree with gmejk. Maybe you should consider stepping down from your pulpit and face reality.
…right into the sewer with you two. Great solution.
I feel so sorry for the family, esp the one who found him. what a shock!
Accidental? Cleaning a loaded gun?
it happens more often than you might think
How? Serious question. I can’t think of any part of the procedure that involves the muzzle of an assembled — let alone a loaded — weapon pointed at one’s self.
Sad that a person died due to carelessness. Whenever a firearm is to be cleaned, the cardinal rule is to determine whether it is loaded or not. All of my guns are unloaded and stored in a locked steel safe with ammunition stored in a separate location. In spite of these safety precautions whenever a gun is handled it is first checked to determine if it is loaded or not. Have a collection including handguns ,rifles, shotguns, a sword and knives.
But because guns are no more deadly than cars, as gun nuts will proclaim, it’s a wonder more people don’t die washing their cars…
Exercising his second amendment rights
Happened to Ed Masaki. Shot himself in the abdomen while shooting at Koko Head Range as I’ve heard. Super sharpshooter who loves to brag about his medals and brings them to gun meetings to show them high above his head. Funny guy. He lived. Where he stay now?
…..but I thought the gun was unloaded.
