Hawaii island man assaulted, robbed by 2 men
Hawaii County police are looking for witnesses to a Puna robbery that occurred Tuesday.
A 57-year-old man reported that while walking on Orchidland Drive in Orchidland Estates subdivision, two men got out of a car, assaulted him and stole his belongings.
The man went by private vehicle to the Hilo Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries and released.
The suspects are described as about 5-foot-7 or 5-foot-8, police said.
The vehicle was a dark-colored Honda four-door sedan.

Cops are never around when you need them. I love that story about a surf shop owner who yelled at some mokes making trouble outside his store. They charged him, broke two of his doors down, and one got slayed permanently with a magnum revolver inside his office. Whoooooooohooooo!!! Way to go brah! That Hoale gentleman was acquitted, and all the good guys in Hawaii cheered for years. But these things still go on. Please give us personal concealed gun carry. We have beaten mokes in everything possible except fighting. Give us the means to resolve this one unfinished business. We want to win.
Puna seems plagued by high crime, lack of a police presence and bizarre personal, irresponsible behavior. Scary area.
