Body discovered near Kaa Point in Kahului
Maui police have opened a second-degree murder investigation following the discovery of a man’s body early this morning near Kaa Point in Kahului.
Police said the body appeared to have sustained injuries.
The body was discovered around 12:30 a.m.
A blue pickup truck was found unattended nearby.
Police have identified the victim but are withholding release of the name until his family is notified.
The cause of death is unknown pending the results of an autopsy.
