A burial service was held for U.S. Navy Ensign Lewis S. Stockdale on Friday at Punchbowl cemetery. His remains were exhumed and identified by the military within the last year.

A new marker identifies the grave of U.S. Navy Ensign Lewis S. Stockdale, who died at age 27 aboard the USS Oklahoma on Dec. 7, 1941, during Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor.
