Police early today arrested a 46-year-old pickup truck driver on suspicion of theft of a moped in Pearl City.
Upon stopping the driver for speeding, the officer discovered in the bed of the truck a moped that allegedly had a tampered ignition. Police said the officer then found that it was an unreported stolen moped.
Police arrested the man on suspicion of second-degree theft, driving without a license and a drug offense.
