Woman charged with robbing Waikiki bank
Prosecutors today charged a 40-year-old woman with no local address with robbing a Waikiki bank.
Leia McNeely was charged with second-degree robbery, unauthorized possession of personal information and a contempt warrant. Her bail was set at $20,000.
Police said a woman entered a bank and handed the teller a demand note at 11:09 a.m. Wednesday. She left without any money.
Officers found and arrested the woman less than a half hour later at 333 Seaside Ave.
Police declined to provide the name of the bank.
