Career expo draws more employers

    ALTRES Staffing was among the employers looking for new talent at Wednesday’s Career Expo. “This is an employees’ market,” said Lynn Hiyane, clerical and technical personnel manager for ALTRES. “Because unemployment is so low right now, employers are having to make accommodations. Everybody is looking for basically the same really qualified candidate.”

Mariah Stewart, who moved to Oahu from New Jersey in December, walked around the Hawaii Career Expo open to any jobs that might come her way. Read more
