Hula happiness

My friends and I had the good fortune to dine at Kimo’s on Maui’s Front Street, so we were already pretty happy.

Then came the Hula pie.

What made this pie so special was the extraordinary generosity and goodness of ingredients.

Well, there was more than enough chocolate sauce to go around, the ice cream had hundreds of macadamia nuts to ensure that each spoonful was creamy and crunchy, the chocolate graham cracker crust was thin and crispy!

How did they do that? Topped off by lots of real whipped cream … Heaven! — Shari Acebedo

Sweet & salty

The Candy Bacon Sticks at Eat the Street at Mililani’s Town Center were the bomb. Our thick slice was flavored with pineapple and li-hing powder. Yum. — Cindy Fukunaga
