The Celtic rock band, whose performances incorporate fire and whose members include American and European bagpipers and other musicians, will perform at 1 and 3 p.m. each day.
Scottish dishes will be available for purchase, including haggis, Scotch eggs, Scottish banger “hot dogs” and scones and teas.
HAWAIIAN SCOTTISH FESTIVAL & HIGHLAND GAMES

Haggis is a mixture of beef or lamb’s heart, liver and lungs, mixed with a variety of spices, onion and oatmeal, stuffed into a casing. It was made famous by poet Robert Burns in “Address to Haggis,” written in 1787. Canned haggis will be offered for sale.
Scotch eggs traditionally are hard-cooked and coated in a sausage mixture, breaded and deep-fried. For the festival they will be crafted by Square Barrels, the burger-centric Bishop Square eatery, which regularly serves a soft-boiled version.
Banger hot dogs will be available at the Royal Hawaiian Hot Dogs booth, and visitors to the Tea Tent can opt for soft, flaky scones in blueberry, cranberry, peach or raisin flavors served with butter and jelly, as well as a wide variety of coffees and teas.
For the over-21 crowd, two Scotch whisky-tasting master classes will be offered Saturday with Jayson Sumida of Young’s Market Co., a wholesale spirits distributor. Scotch and other alcoholic beverages will be offered during the festival at the Free Spirits booth.
In addition to the fiery Celtica Pipes Rock, traditional Celtic music and dance performances, a clan and genealogy area, children’s activities and athletic strength and skill competitions will keep attendees entertained. Strongman Kengo Kubota of Fukuoka, Japan, will attend.
Admission to McCoy Pavilion is $1, while watching events outside of the pavilion, including medieval battle re-enactments by the Society for Creative Anachronism, is free.
Associated events include the ninth annual Taste of Scotland Ceilidh (party) today at The Willows from 5 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $35 at the door, $15 for children. Reserve a spot by calling The Willows: 952-9200.
