Michelle Wie tees off on the first hole of the Lotte Championship at Ko Olina golf course.

Moriya Jutanugarn and Minjee Lee carded rounds of 4-under-par 68 to take the first-round lead in the Lotte Championship today at Ko Olina Golf Club.

Jutanugarn posted seven birdies and Lee finished with six and the duo will take a one-stroke lead over a pack of five players at 3 under into the second round on Thursday.

Defending champion Sei Young Kim is part of the group at 3 under. World No. 1 Lydia Ko overcame a rough start, including a double-bogey on the second hole, to finish her round at 1 under.

Punahou graduate Stephanie Kono led the local contingent with an even par 72, her best score in three Lotte appearances. to finish the day tied for 23rd.

Michelle Wie, two years removed from her Lotte victory, signed for her highest score since 2013 at 8 over 80. Punahou senior Allisen Corpuz finished three strokes better at 5 over in her debut in an LPGA Tour event.
