The Coast Guard is seeking the public’s help in identifying the owner of a dive float found in the vicinity of Punaluu on Saturday.

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are asking for help to find a man who escaped from police custody Friday night.
Around 8:06 p.m., 27-year-old Saimone Mafi Jr. was arrested for three warrants and was taken to a medical facility for treatment of minor injuries, according to CrimeStoppers.
He escaped from custody and was last seen on foot crossing Vineyard Boulevard toward Pele Street.
He was still at large on Saturday.
Mafi is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, wearing a red tank top, black shorts and black socks.
Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on cellphones.
Owner of wayward dive float sought
The Coast Guard is asking the public’s assistance in identifying the owner of a dive float found in waters in Punaluu on Saturday.
A good Samaritan found the orange float on the shore and reported it to the Coast Guard at 12:44 p.m. The float had a dive flag and green mesh bag attached to it.
The Coast Guard issued an urgent marine information broadcast and launched an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew to search the area.
Anyone with information that may help identify the owner of the dive float is asked to contact the Coast Guard Honolulu Command Center at 842-2600.
There were no reported signs of distress or missing persons in the area.
