NEW YORK >> Fox News Channel’s chief White House correspondent, Ed Henry, is “taking some time off” following publication of a magazine story alleging an affair with a Las Vegas woman, the network said Wednesday.

The magazine In Touch Weekly quotes a woman described as a hostess detailing her encounters with Henry, who is married. Henry is quoted in the magazine telling a reporter that “I don’t know anything about it” and was not commenting on Wednesday.

Besides covering the Obama White House, Henry has traveled covering Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

“We recently became aware of Ed’s personal issues and he’s taking some time off to work things out,” Fox said in a statement.

Henry covered Obama during his vacations in Hawaii and got frequent air time doing live shots in aloha wear from the beach while he was at CNN.
