Vandals demolish sink at Fern Park restroom
Vandals demolished a sink in the men’s comfort station at Fern Community Park in Kalihi on Thursday, city officials said.
The restroom was vandalized between 1 and 2:30 p.m.
A resident reported the damage to Fern Community Park personnel. City officials said the sink was removed from its foundation and shattered into pieces, leaving all pipes and plumbing exposed.
The men’s comfort station has been closed and a police report was filed.
The vandalism is the most recent in a string of similar attacks, with incidents at Kaiaka Bay Beach Park and Ala Moana Regional Park earlier this year.
Officials ask that anyone with information about this incident call the Honolulu Police Department.

Mayor is too busy. He has no control over the Police Chief. The police chief is busy addressing bad cops.
The Police Commision can’t get fired. The legislature got a B.
Gimme a break.
Between 1 and 2:30 pm, and nobody working at the park at this time?
Union mandated lunch break.
Talk about sick people, this guy is looney tunes!
Sheer animal rage or psychotic glee. And obviously the culprit or culprits weren’t taught to wash their hands by their loving parents.
Maybe the culprit was in that sheer insane rage because he discovered the lack of TP after he completed the deed.
Then the faucet didn’t work.
A perfect example of how some will use any tactic to blame others for their own actions. Out of TP? Go ahead, tear everything apart, and them blame the state because you’re an idiot.
Say what you will, but the guy who does the walls is excellent, you can see your reflection in them!
We better fire him ASAP…he’s making everyone else look bad.
Mokes raised to blame everything around them for their sorry existence. Like father like son.
Don’t used ceramic sinks. Get those stainless steel ones. Like the ones they have in prison. The vandals might as well get used to it. That’s where they’ll end up.
And the pursuit of these perpetrators should be relentless. Car 54 where are you?
Sub-human?
Too bad we can’t put in remote cameras like the nanny cams.
