UH’s Ah Nee finishes ninth in heptathlon

University of Hawaii sophomore Sha’tres Ah Nee finished ninth with 4,467 points in the heptathlon at the Big West Conference Track and Field Multi-Event Championships on Saturday in Long Beach, Calif.

Ah Nee, the only Rainbow Wahine entered in the competition, recorded a 5.28 meters in the long jump, 22.48 in the javelin and a 2:39.14 in the 800 on Saturday.

Long Beach State’s Riley Cooks won the event with 5,414 points.
