Authorities say a man was arrested after he walked the wrong way through a security checkpoint at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.

Airport spokesman Chris Jones says the man appeared to be intoxicated when he tried to enter through a lane for exiting passengers late Sunday night.

Jones says the man didn’t have any kind of weapon, and the incident appeared to be a drunken mistake.

He says that travelers coming into the A and B concourse were delayed as police responded, but he’s not aware of any missing flights.

He says operations were back to normal within about 40 minutes.

Just think if he was driving.

  2. Mr Mililani says:

It took the police 40 minutes to figure out that he was drunk and walked in the wrong lane? Sounds like our inept HPD.

  3. steve76 says:

isn’t there a security person watching the exit doors ..? they have one at all the exits in Honolulu

  4. justmyview371 says:

Most of us wish we could get away with that. Otherwise, I get patted down and with my belt off my pans have fallen off in the airport. I can’t take my shoes off due to a disability so they put me through me through an elaborate check even looking down my pants. I complain this is discrimination but the supervisor acts like he can’t understand me and says they can do whatever they want.
