A plane approached for a landing on the reef runway at the Honolulu airport. The state Department of Transportation said Runway 8R-26L will be closed for airfield maintenance from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and nightly from midnight to 8 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
Honolulu Airport’s reef runway will be closed every night this week for maintenance.
The state Department of Transportation said Runway 8R-26L will be closed for airfield maintenance from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and nightly from midnight to 8 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
During this time flight patterns will be altered to use other operational runways, which may cause an increase in air traffic over downtown Honolulu and Kalihi.
