Some people just love to fly, and if you’re a member of the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors football team, you probably ought to be one of them — because flying is what the team does, to meet its schedule of playing so many mainland games, and this year even in Australia.
Star-Advertiser writer Ferd Lewis noted Thursday the team will rack up more flier miles this fall than the most-traveled team in the NFL — 47,702 versus 36,983 for the Los Angeles Rams (which has a game in London).
