Suspect in Waikiki sex assault arrested

Police on Thursday arrested a 28-year-old Waikiki man for allegedly sexually assaulting a 23-year-old woman in Waikiki.

The woman told police she was sexually assaulted on two separate occasions.

Police said one occasion was at 9 a.m. Thursday.

Police arrested the man at 11:10 a.m. on suspicion of two counts of first-degree sexual assault.

Help sought in death of Big Isle resident

Hawaii County police are asking again for any information about a man’s body discovered March 3 in Waipio Valley.

The man was identified as Thaine Price, 49, of Honokaa.

The case is classified as a murder.
