2 people displaced after fire destroys Waianae carport
Two people were displaced when a fire destroyed a carport in Waianae Wednesday night.
The fire was reported at 6:31 p.m. and brought under control at 6:42 p.m.
Fire damage was estimated to be $40,000 for the destroyed carport and $10,000 to its contents. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Two people were at home at the time of the fire and were able to escape uninjured. They will be staying with friends and family.
