Alarm foils robbery suspect
An alarm apparently foiled a man who attempted to rob a Kalihi business Sunday morning.
Police said the suspect entered the business and demanded money from a 52-year-old woman while brandishing a dangerous instrument at about 7:27 a.m.
But an alarm sounded and the suspect fled on foot without taking anything.
Police did not release a description of the suspect and did not give an exact location of the robbery attempt.
