University of Hawaii incoming senior opposite Nikki Taylor had five points and the U.S. remained unbeaten in the XV Pan-American Cup volleyball tournament with a 3-2 win over Cuba in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on Monday.
Taylor had two kills and three blocks in the 19-25, 25-20, 18-25, 25-15, 15-7 victory at the Palacio de Voleibol. Setter Micha Hancock had nine aces to tie the tournament single-match record.
The defending champion U.S. (3-0) continues pool play against Costa Rica (0-3) today.
