MANILA >> The Philippine president in televised remarks has warned a Chinese drug suspect that he may die at the Manila airport if he returns from abroad, underscoring the brazen rhetoric and methods he intends to use to fight the drug trade.
As to how the man would die, President Rodrigo Duterte said, “never mind.” It was not clear if the man Duterte identified as Peter Lm had been charged with any crime.
Duterte also said two detained drug trafficking suspects would be killed if they attempted to escape in his spontaneous remarks broadcast Thursday by the state-run TV network.
He won the May 9 elections overwhelmingly on a bold promise to end crime and corruption in the first three to six months of his presidency.
I doubt if Mr. Lm (Lim, Lum?) will ever set foot in the Philippines again. Very effective threat, maybe we need the same here.
Yes, if you are a suspect, I will kill you. No charges, no trial, just immediate death by a public firing squad in the middle of the airport!
My Hero – can he extend this to the North Shore drug gangs?
Drug free zone is all of the Philippines? Assassin’s target may be the president himself! The “cartel” has its own ways of dealing against straights! Guess which side will win?
In the early 70’s a drug dealer was executed by firing squad. I laughed every time a Filipino would tear up and say he was one of the riflemen. I would have fun by asking him what kind of gun he used. Brand and model? Caliber? How many cartridges in a magazine? None of them could look a me in the eye when they were questioned. The criminal was a Chinese. Filipinos hate Chinese. They are too smart, have all the money, marry all the beauty contest winners, own the biggest corporations, and are the smartest students. Are the drug dealers he killed Filipinos?
Now that is my kind of President. Take no prisoners. No courts and liberal judges to let these slime balls go free on a technicality.
Yessiree. Because that’s the way the did it back in the good ol’ DPRK, right? Bet you’re shedding tears of nostalgia about now.
