Woman released without charges stemming from suspected child abuse

A 30-year-old Red Hill woman was released from police custody today after prosecutors declined an assault charge against her stemming from injuries to a 6-year-old boy.

The woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of second-degree assault at Tripler Army Medical Center.

The police report did not say how badly the child was injured or his relationship to the suspect.
