Former Republican state Rep. Richard Fale has pleaded no contest in District Court for failing to file a complete and accurate candidate committee report.
Under the terms of a plea agreement, Fale — who once represented Waiahole, Sunset Beach, Punaluu and Kaaawa — was fined $500, is ordered to pay an additional $1,000 to the Crime Victim Compensation Fund and must publish an apology on his campaign’s social media webpage.
At the July 1 hearing, Honolulu District Court Judge Lono Lee granted Fale’s request for a deferred acceptance of plea.

Another slap on the wrist. And this sort of crime should never receive a deferral. Just wait, in a few years, he will be saying, “I have never been convicted of a crime,” and thanks to the judge, it will be true.
Crime? I wouldn’t even consider this a criminal offense. “failing to file a complete and accurate candidate committee report” There are REAL criminals in government & this is all anyone can find?

( was Just noticing the photo accompanying the article and it was a very good photo at that but what caught my eye was the morbid obesity of the elected representatives. Could that be because they don’t actually do what we think of as “work?”)
Fale’s crime was switching from the Democrat Party to the Republican Party in 2014.
