Hawaii County police identify body of man found in South Kohala

Hawaii County police today identified the body of a man found June 25 in South Kohala as 64-year-old Michael John David of Pahoa.

David had been reported missing and was last seen in Kalapana on May 20.

His body was found on the side of Kawaihae Road.

Police said the autopsy conducted on June 30 found no signs of foul play.

The exact cause of death was deferred pending the results of further testing.
