Medical examiner IDs man who fell from Ala Moana high-rise

Police continue to investigate the death of a 56-year-old homeless man who fell from the upper floors of a 20-story public housing complex on Kalakaua Avenue last month.

The Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Anthony White.

Police classified White’s case as an unattended death pending the outcome of an autopsy, which won’t be completed until test results come back.

Police originally responded to a report of an argument at 6:30 p.m. on June 28 at Kalakaua Homes.

White’s body was found on the grass fronting the building at 1541 Kalakaua Avenue.

A witness told police she heard an argument and saw the man falling.

    RIP. Was he trespassing?

Since people usually fall straight down rather than sideways, it seems like it shouldn’t be too difficult to figure out where he fell from and home in on the other party in the argument. This may or may not have been a homicide, but detectives need to hear both sides of the story.
