Emergency landing damages Hawaiian jet

    A Hawaiian Airlines jet made an emergency landing at Haneda Airport early Monday after the captain noticed a problem with the hydraulic system. The aircraft’s tires were damaged in the landing, though all passengers and crew members were safe. The airport was forced to close one runway and cancel some domestic Japanese flights. The passengers on the initial flight eventually reached Honolulu nearly 20 hours behind schedule.
