A 38-year-old homeless woman is in custody after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in Hilo.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder. She is being held at the Hilo police cellblock while detectives continue the investigation.
Hilo police responded to the brush area off Wainaku Avenue at 8:52 p.m. and determined that a 48-year-old man had been stabbed on the right side of his body by his girlfriend, who was living with him in a tent. The man was taken to Hilo Medical Center in stable condition.

3 sought for robbing taxicab driver
Police are looking for three males who robbed a taxicab driver Wednesday morning in Palolo.
The taxi driver responded to pick up a fare about 3 a.m. when the three suspects entered and assaulted the 27-year-old driver, police said.
Police opened a first-degree robbery investigation.
Man, 70, arrested in credit card fraud
A 70-year-old Kailua man was arrested Wednesday after he used another man’s credit cards and was found in possession of a switchblade knife in Waikiki, police said.
The man found an 81-year-old man’s wallet and used his credit cards to make purchases about 1:30 a.m., police said.
He turned himself in at the Waikiki substation about 2 a.m. and was arrested for investigation of three counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, fourth-degree theft, possession of a switchblade, possession of unauthorized personal information, and another credit card offense.
