Trump calls on Russia to find Clinton’s missing emails

  • ASSOCIATED PRESS

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump spoke during a news conference at Trump National Doral, today, in Tampa, Fla.

WASHINGTON » Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump encouraged Russia to meddle in American politics today, with a stunning recommendation to uncover and make public hacked emails that might damage his opponent, Hillary Clinton.

Shortly after Trump’s remarks, his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, took a different tack and warned of “serious consequences” if Russia interfered in the election.

The developments came as Democrats met on the third day of their presidential convention in Philadelphia, where Clinton will claim the party’s nomination Thursday night.

Trump’s extraordinary comments raised the specter of whether he was condoning foreign government hacking of U.S. computers and the public release of information stolen from political adversaries — actions that are at least publicly frowned upon across the globe.

“I will tell you this. Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Trump said. He was referring to emails on Clinton’s private email server that she deleted because she said they were private before she turned other messages over to the State Department. The FBI declined to prosecute Clinton over her email practices but its director said she had been “extremely careless” handling classified materials.

The Clinton campaign called Trump’s statement the “first time that a major presidential candidate has actively encouraged a foreign power to conduct espionage against a political opponent.”

At a press conference in Doral, Florida, after Trump’s initial remarks, he was asked whether he had any pause about asking a foreign government to hack into computers in the United States. Trump did not directly respond except to say, “That’s up to the president. Let the president talk to them.”

He later added: “If Russia or China or any other country has those emails, I mean, to be honest with you, I’d love to see them.”

Later, Pence said in a statement there should be “serious consequences” if Russia is found to be interfering in the U.S. electoral process.

The exchange occurred after President Barack Obama identified Russia as almost certainly responsible for hacking the Democratic National Committee. WikiLeaks published on its website last week more than 19,000 internal emails stolen from the DNC earlier this year. The emails showed DNC staffers actively supporting Clinton when they were publicly promising to remain neutral during the primary elections between Clinton and rival candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders.

The head of the DNC, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, resigned over the disclosures, which disrupted this week’s convention.

Trump cast doubt on whether Russia was behind that hack. He said blaming Russia was deflecting attention from the embarrassing material in the emails.

“Russia has no respect for our country, if it is Russia,” Trump said. “It could be China. It could be someone sitting in his bedroom. It’s probably not Russia. Nobody knows if it’s Russia.”

Obama traditionally avoids commenting on active FBI investigations, but he told NBC News on Tuesday that outside experts have blamed Russia for the leak. Obama also appeared to embrace the notion that President Vladimir Putin might have been responsible because of what he described as Trump’s affinity for Putin. Trump said he has no relationship to Putin.

In Moscow today, Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said Russia would never interfere in another country’s election.

“What the motives were in terms of the leaks, all that, I can’t say directly,” Obama said. “What I do know is that Donald Trump has repeatedly expressed admiration for Vladimir Putin.”

Obama said he was basing his assessment on Trump’s own comments and the fact that Trump has “gotten pretty favorable coverage back in Russia.” He added that the U.S. knows that “Russians hack our systems — not just government systems, but private systems.”

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said his organization would not disclose who provided it with the stolen material. WikiLeaks said on Twitter that it timed its publication of the emails — days before the Democratic convention was starting — “when our verification, research and formatting process was complete and on a day likely to generate interest.” On Tuesday, Assange said on CNN that “a lot more” material was coming but provided no details.

Associated Press writers Bradley Klapper and Ted Bridis in Washington and Nataliya Vasilyeva in Moscow contributed to this report.

  • Oh my, right between the eyes of Ms Clinton, nominated Democratic candidate for President of the United States. Wonder if the Russians can recover the 30,000 emails erased by Ms Clinton and her staff from her private server in the basement.

      • Well per the Washington Post, Clinton claimed that among the e-mails she deleted from her private account were the typical fare about planning her daughter’s wedding, family vacations, and her “yoga routines.” So if the Russians did hack Clinton’s email server, it will prove (1) that her private server was hacked because she “acted carelessly” (per FBI Director) and that (2) she endangered national security as there were classified emails on her server (per FBI Director). Also, if there were official State Dept. or other Clinton Foundation emails co-mingled in the 30,000 supposedly private deleted emails, it will confirm what most people already know – that Hillary is a LIAR and unfit to be president.

        • It doesn’t matter. Any responsible and intelligent Amercan who looks to Russia for assistance is lunatic. Even Fox News is confused by the Chumps inexplainable remarks. Watch” The Five”.

        • Whoever said “FACTS!,” though well-meaning, was mistaken. They are not facts. When you learn how to READ and think better, you will no longer fall for Trump’s empty rhetoric. Does he have any real plan? NO.

          READ again.

        • If the Russians were responsible for hacking into the DNC emails as the DNC and Clinton campaign claim, then maybe, just maybe, the Russians hacked into Hillary’s unsecured server and maybe, just maybe, they have some or all of the 33,000 emails Hillary deleted from her server. And if they do, then maybe, just maybe, they might want to release them to the FBI as Trump suggested. And if they do, then maybe, just maybe, the FBI might do something about it, but don’t bet on it.

        • We néed the FBI, CIA, ANONYMOUS, & IRS to hack into all of Trump’s emails, and especially his TAX Returns. Then we will see who is crooked, corrupt, and needs to be locked up

        • Take your meds and go take a nap. Sarge you no shame this guy is on your side? Is he for real? Just like his hero the more he comments the more st– id he proves that he is. Sheesh!

        • Lespark, you would not know how to differentiate pupule from sane, since you areally already pupule

        • What about Mike Pence. For one, he is a bible thumping anti-gay bigot. 2. He is also against Planned Parenthood, against womens’ right to choose. He is also a narrow minded person and uncompassionate person for others.

        • “against womens’ right to choose.”

I wish they would use a better phrase.

Presumably the choice was made when she chose to engage in the behavior that lead to the pregnancy.

It is more like the right to a do-over.

    • So Chump wants the Russians to “recover” these emails. Now how would that be done? How would a Russian do this? I guess some Russian guy could ask to see the server. But I think what Chump is saying is he wants his Russian comrades to do more hacking. So Chump is now asking the Ruskies to hack into an American’s e-mail to help him politically. The Dems will have a field day on this one.

      • Geez, go read/listen to TheDonald’s statement on this. Words taken out of context and all you sheep believes the Media. No wonder why TheMedia gets the shaft from Trump

        • Yeah, even the Donald’s own VP pick gets it wrong too, right? He must have misinterpreted what the Donald said as well. So sad, you Trump sheep.

        • Speaking of button..what ever happened to Crooked Rotten hiLIARy’s RESET BUTTON with the incorrect inscription?

        • Donald J Chump. Watch, within the next few episodes, he’ll point at himself and say “I’M FIRED!”

        • I’m waiting for the next episode of Bill Clinton’s Love Story. Who will it be? .. Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey, Paula Jones, Sandra Allen James, Eileen Wellstone, Christy Zercher, Carolyn Moffet, Helen Dowdy, Becky Brown.

      • Not likely. The server being discussed was Hillary Clinton’s private basement server. That was likely hacked long ago, so it’s not something that would be hacked today (since it’s no longer in use or “connected”

      • HawaiiCheeseBall, please cite exactly where Trump asked the Russians to hack into anyone’s emails. You either forget or want to ignore the fact that the Clinton campaign and the DNC have been saying for several days that hacking was done by Russia to help Trump’s campaign. I have not read one word that said Trump asked the Russians to hack anything, so where did you read it?

        • Huh? Do you not understand basic concepts of government? The President cannot order the release of an individual’s private taxes.

        • Oh your back. Still spelling gorilla with one l. You Chump supporters are a laughable bunch. Archie Bunkers to the max. I don’t want to refer to you as sheep. Don’t want to insult the sheep.

        • Obamas is at 52% approval rating. He doesn’t have to listen to anybody except his intuition. He will push Hillary over the top. Watch the DNC and look at the faces of the delegates. What a variety of people and races. That is why the Chump will not and cannot win. Chump loves to kick people when they’re down and out. Come November the Chump will find out first hand that what goes around comes around. Instant karma.

        • Keaukaha. Obama’s approval rate could be 100% for all I care but he’s not running for POTUS. Hillary is and hers is down below her knees.

        • Ikefromeli, you not only don’t have any common sense, you are extremely naive. If the AG can meet the husband of a subject under investigation on the Tarmac in PHX with no witness the POTUS can do the same with just about anyone he chooses including the IRS Director.

        • Hillary has the President in her corner while the Chump has you in his corner. If every Chump supporter is as interesting as you then he really has a problem. We don’t have a zombie invasion. We have a Archie Bunker invasion.

        • Naive? I’ve served two US Senators as General Counsel (both Ds and Rs), was the Chief of Staff to a State Governor, ran entire Governemnt Affairs Departments for Fortune 100 companies—and you? I mean aside from watching TV, have you actually ever served in a real position of power and difference? No need to answer, I know your answer, time to get your afternoon snacks from Mom, huh?

        • “I’ve served two US Senators as General Counsel (both Ds and Rs)”

If you have served both D’s and R’s, wouldn’t the plural here indicate this would be at least four?

Perhaps you meant “(both a D and an R)”?

      • You realize the Russian stuff is a distraction from the TRUTH of what the DNC was saying within..from rigging the primary to racist comments on religion and the Hispanics right?

        • Racist comments against religion..I’ll have you know the Klu Klux Klan claim to be Christian, Hitler and the Nazis, saw themselves as Christian, saving the world from the Jews who crucified Christ, and exterminating gays to enforce morality in the world, and exterminating other races they considered inferior to the Aryan race. And the Christian Inquisition in Spain and elsewhere in Europe, that tortured people and burnt people at the stake for heresy. And what about the Thirty Years War, the War of Religions, between the Christian Catholics and the Christian Protestants and evangelicals, in which millions of Christians murdered one another, destroyed much of Europe, with the Black Plague that followed, in the early 1700s.

        • If Donald J Chump becomes president, you’ll want to leave this country, too. Let’s hope that never happens.

    • Ikefromeli, your resume confession just shows how corrupt and rotten the Republicans and Tea Party are. You just confirmed everything we expected from the right wing fascists in this country

    • AlohaKakou, how can you invite our adversaries to hack our Internet systems. You become an accomplice in conspiracy and treason. No Aloha in that

  • “Trump has sought and received funding from Russian investors for his business ventures, especially after most American banks stopped lending to him following his multiple bankruptcies. Trump’s de facto campaign manager, Paul Manafort, was a longtime consultant to Viktor Yanukovich, the Russian-backed president of Ukraine who was overthrown in 2014. Manafort also has done multimillion-dollar business deals with Russian oligarchs.
Trump’s foreign policy advisor Carter Page has his own business ties to the state-controlled Russian oil giant Gazprom. He recently delivered a speech in Moscow slamming the United States for its “hypocritical focus on ideas such as democratization” and praising Russia for a foreign policy supposedly built on “noninterference,” “tolerance” and “respect.” (Try telling that to Ukraine.) Another Trump foreign policy advisor, retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, flew to Moscow last year to attend a gala banquet celebrating Russia Today, the Kremlin’s propaganda channel, and was seated at the head table near Putin. Flynn is a regular guest on Russia Today; he refuses to say whether he gets paid.” Max Boot, LA Times

  • Just when it starts to seem that Donald Trump can’t surprise the jaded American media anymore, the Republican nominee manages to go just a little bit further.

During a press conference Wednesday morning that was bizarre even by Trump’s standards, he praised torture, said the Geneva Conventions were obsolete, contradicted his earlier position on a federal minimum wage, and told a reporter to “be quiet.”

But the strangest comments, easily, came when Trump was asked about allegations that Russian hackers had broken into the email of the Democratic National Convention—as well as further suggestions that Vladimir Putin’s regime might be trying to aid Trump, who has praised him at length. Trump cast doubt on Russia’s culpability, then said he hoped they had hacked Hillary Clinton’s messages while she was secretary of state.

“By the way, if they hacked, they probably have her 33,000 emails,” he said. “I hope they do. They probably have her 33,000 emails that she lost and deleted. Because you’d see some beauties there.” A few minutes later, he returned to the idea, speaking directly to the Kremlin: “I will tell you this: Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing.”

It was a stunning moment: a presidential nominee calling on a foreign power not only to hack his opponent and release what they found publicly, but hoping the Russians had stolen the emails of a top American official, perhaps including classified information. Atlantic.

So, this is the statesmen, the leader of the free world, the man who does not know the difference between hummus and Hamas….that you want sitting in the White House?

    • You’re more concerned with the speculative political notion rather than what the DNC did to rig their system…to their racist slant against religion and the Hispanics?

    • Yes, Trump is the guy I want sitting in the White House. Obama doesn’t know the difference between ISIS and shaved ice.
What difference at this point does it matter. Donald is on his way. Hillary has lost her way.

    • Get real. Trump did not in any way encourage Russia to hack into anyone’s computers. The Clinton campaign and the DNC have been saying for several days that hacking was done by Russia to help Trump’s campaign. Did you get that? The hacking already has been done. Trump was simply saying to Russia in jest is that if they can find the 30,000 emails that are missing (or were hacked) from Hillary’s computer to turn them over to the FBI. The liberal response is nonsensical and patently absurd.

      • You know, I might not agree with you, but at least you offer a reasonable opinion. Would you please help Sarge and Keoni figure out how to do that.

  • IF, a foreign country or anybody has those emails, why wouldn’t we and even Hillary Clinton want them disclosed? If Hillary has been truthful all along, she has nothing to hide and this would totally end this email controversy and prove she was telling the truth. If she hasn’t been truthful, wouldn’t we want to know the business she was secretly conducting before we elect her as our president?

    • Brah you are not reading the story. Chump is not saying “Hey Russia if you’ve got them, show em”. He’s ASKING Russia to take positive actions to find and disclose the emails, to take positive actions to meddle in an election. That’s the problem. It shows such bad judgement his own running mate is distancing himself from Chump’s statements. No amount of spin can change this.

      • First of all, Hillary took her email server offline in 2011. So even if Russia were to try to hack it now, it wouldn’t make sense as it impossible since it is already OFFLINE (aka unplugged, wiped clean, done). However, if they already hacked it back in say 2010 or 2011, and have a cache of emails (all 33,000 deleted plus the ones turned over to the FBI) then that is an entirely different story.

        • Your’re assuming Chump knows the serve is offline, and so what if the server is offloaded, Chump’s pleas is for Russians help in hacking other computers for the e-mails. Look if Hillary said “I will tell you this. Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find Donald’s tax returns that we are all interested in seeing” there would be all kinds of vitriol from the Chumpsters. Chumps plea for Russian assistance is just wrong.

        • Aha Etalavera, yes, if the Russians or others had hacked Ms Clinton’s server prior to 2011, which Ms Clinton confirms that someone was attempting to hack her server. Could they have been successful and as you say, have the 33,000 deleted plus the one turned over to the FBI on a disc. Yep, a very different story. Also, WikiLeaks say they will be releasing additional emails.

        • IRT Cheese, the Democrats would be cheering saying “Oh but look at the good that the hackers have done. Now we have Trump’s tax returns! Thanks since Drumpf is an a** and must be stopped at all costs!” The American public, especially Democrats, should be thankful of the hacks because it shows what a corrupt political process we have. The DNC was merely the Clinton Coronation Crew. Instead Dems spin this saying Russia is trying to interfere with our election. For example, say an armed bank robber who while making his getaway observes a pedophile who was trying to abduct a child and shoots him, thus saving the kid. Yes, both are wrong, but in the end there has been some good to come of it.

        • Lespark your comments are as insignificant as a cockroach so go back in your dark corner. Where is your support group group? Not even sarge has your back so far and I don’t blame him. You are definitely hands off. Too d-mb.

        • HACK TRUMP’S & THE REPUBLICAN & TEA PARTY EMAILS & TAX RETURNS. THEN THE TRUTH WILL BE REVEALED

      • HawaiiCheeseBall, I asked you in an earlier post to cite exactly where Trump asked the Russians to hack into anyone’s emails. If you have been following the news, you would know the Clinton campaign and the DNC have been saying for several days that the hacking was done by Russia to help Trump’s campaign. I have not read one word that said Trump asked the Russians to hack anything, so I again ask you to cite where you read it.

    • This is exactly my point. Hillary claims she didn’t endanger national security and that her email server was secure. The FBI said it wasn’t hacked but can’t be 100% sure. But if the Russians do have the emails (the 33,000 deleted plus the ones turned over to the FBI which did have classified information btw), it as show that Hillary endangered national security because it contradicts her saying she wasn’t hacked. If the 33,000 emails she deleted was strictly personal, such as planning her daughter’s wedding, family vacations, and her yoga routines, then no big deal (but she still got hacked). However, if the 33,000 emails contain something embarrassing or illegal (i.e. soliciting donations for her foundation as a quid pro quo for acts), this election could take an interesting turn…

      • Problem is that you have the republican presidential candidate inviting Russia to hack our system. Now he is claiming that it was sarcasm. Aren’t you worried that this loose cannon cannot control his emotions and is seriously unstable. Watch Fox News. I never watch Fox News but I am now because they are being face with reality. They are in serious damage control because the du-my just cannot control himself. VP Biden is kicking the s-it out of him and the rout has only just begun.

  • In today’s bizarre press conference, this exchange occurred:

“QUESTION: I would like to know if you became president, would you recognize (inaudible) Crimea as Russian territory? And also if the U.S. would lift sanctions that are (inaudible)?

TRUMP: We’ll be looking at that. Yeah, we’ll be looking.”

“We’ll be looking at that” is Trump’s standard response when he doesn’t know what he is talking about, and it is an answer that would make Putin very happy as it runs counter to American foreign policy, both Republican and Democrat.

Trump’s motto might as well be “Make Russia Great Again.”

  • russia will protect it’s interests in furthering the female felon’s presidential campaign.

ian teller, the ceo of uranium one, donated over $2.3 million to the clinton foundation as he attempted to gain u.s. approval for selling his company along with 20% of all u.s. held uranium to russia. during the same time, russia paid $500,000 to bill clinton for a speech. the sale was approved.

with the female felon installed as president, russia stands to gain as it seeks more u.s. uranium.

  • OMG…Donald, you spent MONTHS talking about building a wall to keep illegals out, and now you invite a foreign nation to hack an AMERICAN citizen??? Donald, your campaign managers and handlers are not doing you any good. What you need is someone like Valerie Jarrett, THE advisor to Barry, to TELL you when you’re wandering too far off the reservation. You need someone to tell you that you cannot Tweet your way into the Oval Office. You can’t name call your way into the Presidency. You can’t invite people to do any illegal activity just because “…I’d love to see them.” SMH. Donald, you need Barry’s teleprompter now more than ever.

    • OMG! You had me until…”Valerie Jarrett”…lol.

ps…IMHO I thought he did great at the presser this morning.
Wonder when Rotten hiLIARy will do a presser….getting close to a year since the last one.

      “Make America Great Again”

      • You do know VJ has Barry’s ear don’t you? She’s closer than blood family to the Obama’s. Has dinner with them almost nightly. Seriously, Donald needs someone to reign him in. His managers are useless. Right now, Barry’s numbers are going up. Clinton is attaching herself to him in hopes her numbers will go up. Donald inviting a hack isn’t doing himself any favors.

        • Tita Girl. I don’t think the Chump can change. What you see is what you get. A foul mouth, disrespectful rich guy who got rich ripping off people who trusted him.

        • Valerie Jarrett’s late father—a physician named James Bowman—had a lengthy FBI file showing that he was a Communist who often collaborated with other Communists based principally in Chicago. In 1950, for instance, Bowman communicated with a paid Soviet agent named Alfred Stern, who later fled the U.S. to Prague when he was indicted on espionage charges that were ultimately confirmed beyond doubt—specifically, he had conspired to transmit military and political information to the Soviet Union. Bowman was also a member of the Association of Internes and Medical Students, a group that, according to his FBI file, engaged in un-American activities and “has long been a faithful follower of the Communist Party line.”

  • Mucho millions spent on NSA, FBI, CIA, Triple AAA, DNA and so on….? We act as though we don’t engage in cyber warfare/ hacking amongst other nations, countries and so on. The drama get’s bigger and bigger as days go by.
It’s a political circus where the clowns all come out to play.

      • In 1969, Hillary Rodham wrote a 92-page senior thesis for Wellesley College about famed community organizer Saul Alinsky entitled There Is Only the Fight . . . : An Analysis of the Alinsky Model. While the work by Rodham as a college student was the subject of much speculation in articles and biographies of Hillary Rodham Clinton, access to the thesis was limited by the college, at the request of the Clinton White House, during her time as first lady.

        • And your point? I wrote an essay on the third reich as a junior in college: the exercise is academic, not a philosophical endorsement

        • Clinton’s connection to Alinsky has been the subject of speculation for decades. It became controversial when Wellsley College, by request of the Clinton White House, sealed her 1968 thesis from the public for years. Conservative lawyer Barbara Olson said Clinton had asked for the thesis to be sealed because it showed “the extent to which she internalized and assimilated the beliefs and methods of Saul Alinsky.” Clinton opponent turned Clinton defender David Brock referred to her as “Alinsky’s daughter” in 1996’s The Seduction of Hillary Rodham.

        • Glad you asked but It’s not about me. It’s about your Queen Lying Crooked Rotten Hillary.

  • NOW HE’S KISSING VLADAMIR’S A$$ … WAY TO GO DONALD … IF YOU WANT TO “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN” I HAVE A SUGGESTION … DROP DEAD AND THE SOONER THE BETTER … MAYBE DAVID DUKE AND THE KKK WILL GIVE YOU A GREAT SEND OFF …

  • Is Mr. Trump for real? Glad he continues to show his true colors before the November election. I hope Republicans wake up and realize how dangerous and ill-informed he really is about politics and other foreign countries. Mr. Putin must be laughing at all of the Trump supporters.

    • Gowdy: Good morning, Director Comey. Secretary Clinton said she never sent or received any classified information over her private e-mail, was that true?
Comey: Our investigation found that there was classified information sent.

      Gowdy: It was not true?

      Comey: That’s what I said.

Gowdy: OK. Well, I’m looking for a shorter answer so you and I are not here quite as long. Secretary Clinton said there was nothing marked classified on her e-mails sent or received. Was that true?

Comey: That’s not true. There were a small number of portion markings on I think three of the documents.

Gowdy: Secretary Clinton said “I did not e-mail any classified information to anyone on my e-mail there was no classified material.” That is true?

Comey: There was classified information emailed.

Gowdy: Secretary Clinton used one device, was that true?

Comey: She used multiple devices during the four years of her term as Secretary of State.

Gowdy: Secretary Clinton said all work related emails were returned to the State Department. Was that true?

Comey: No. We found work related email, thousands, that were not returned.

Gowdy: Secretary Clinton said neither she or anyone else deleted work related emails from her personal account.

Comey: That’s a harder one to answer. We found traces of work related emails in — on devices or in space. Whether they were deleted or when a server was changed out something happened to them, there’s no doubt that the work related emails that were removed electronically from the email system.

Gowdy: Secretary Clinton said her lawyers read every one of the emails and were overly inclusive. Did her lawyers read the email content individually?

      Comey: No.

Gowdy: Well, in the interest of time and because I have a plane to catch tomorrow afternoon, I’m not going to go through any more of the false statements but I am going to ask you to put on your old hat. Faults exculpatory statements are used for what?

Comey: Well, either for a substantive prosecution or evidence of intent in a criminal prosecution.

Gowdy: Exactly. Intent and consciousness of guilt, right?

      Comey: That is right?

  • “Leon Panetta, a former CIA director, told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour that Trump’s comments were “beyond the pale” because he was “in fact asking the Russians to engage in American politics.” Later during a panel at the University of Pennsylvania, Panetta ramped up his rebuke, calling Trump’s remarks a “threat to our national security.”

William Inboden, who served on the NSC during the George W. Bush administration, said Trump’s comments were “tantamount to treason.” “Trump’s appeal for a foreign government hostile to the United States to manipulate our electoral process is not an assault on Hillary Clinton, it is an assault on the Constitution,” said Inboden, who now teaches at the University of Texas at Austin.”

  • Of the two presidential candidates of our two major parties, it’s a sad day for America! What do we have here? Two unlikely people to lead our country. Juvenile tactics galore from one more than the other. Nonetheless, we do have hope with third party candidate, Gary Johnson. Hope is better than none!

  • So very telling when a former Secretary of Defense and Director of the CIA says explicitly that Mr. Trump places the nation in grave danger. Never has a person in our entire history been so inexperienced, so lazy and so cavalier with our foreign policy.

Then, a real businessman, Michael Bloomberg, a real billionaire, just south of 50 billion, entirely takes down and mocks Mr. Trump, from his numerous bankruptcies, to his thousands of lawsuits, to his volatile shareholder revolts……again, a real tycoon of business just gave him the “business” and totally made him look like a foolish git. Bloomberg is smarter, more successful, more compassionate, and a metric that even Donald would resonate with, much much richer. Donald you’re fired!!

  • Donald Trump is the most knowledgeable candidate…he responds to every question in an educated and logical manner. Every answer has substance and is well reasoned…ok, let’s really read the truth shall we…now Sarge, I know reading is not your strong suit, but the Donald’s words are, for the most part, monosyllabic so you should be able to follow along.

  • Donald Trumped,”Duke” that interview and the media ran with it! The media bit Hook line and sinker. It was soooooo Funny!
But really if the Russians want to help?
Hey ! Why not? If the Russians/Vladimir Putin can help? then by all means! Let’s see those emails!
Who knows it might help Sweet Hillary, but I doubt it.

Think about it . The relationship between The USA and Russia, which have been strained and terrible for the past 20 plus years. & with this action? It would definitely start to improve the relationship between the two countries ,ultimately bringing us closer together. This, in my view is very presidential on behalf of Donald Trump . Bringing the two countries together? Could this be possible?
Nobody,I say again! NO Body has done that since…….President Ronald Reagan!

So if you expect the Media to do their “Job” via True Investigating Unbiased Journalism ,and our government agencies does theirs? If you expect them to do these simple things? ……….Then you are Sadly mistaken.

    • Of course it was and the media bites every time. BTW who spoke today at the DNC? Anybody of importance. I did notice a little action outside.

    • Republican candidates for president should not rely on the general public including the media to keep track of where his tongue is. It’s on him if he chooses to stick it in a fire. Time after time.

    • “What Donald Trump said does not amount to treason,” said Carlton Larson, a professor at the University of California at Davis School of Law and one of the nation’s few experts on the law of treason.

For starters, he says, only a country or entity that has declared war or is in a state of open war constitutes an enemy, so Russia and China don’t count. Second, Larson says, aid and comfort must be something material, not words of encouragement.”

  • I don’t know what the big commotion is about on his statement. Mr. Trump may be a white collar businessman but his mentality is blue collar and he says what he thinks. Unpolished, politically incorrect but he says what a lot of Americans are thinking but are afraid to say due to backlash.
He is bullish, crass at times and will often say outlandish things. He can do this because he has his own money backing him and not money from ‘sponsors’ who would insist he toe the proper etiquette line.
I am not saying he is the best thing for America but he sure as hell would create chaos for both parties and maybe even get rid of the entrenched politicians who bleed the system and American public. He’s a ‘bull in a china shop’ so to speak, so if he says something outlandish, ‘expect it’. His last comment about Russia I am sure was meant as a sarcastic remark aimed at Clinton (he makes a lot of them) but anything he says people will think or interpret it to the worst so no big deal. Besides, no matter what he says ‘no one man determines the fate or direction of our country’ without the support of our messed up Congress (as Obama learned). The lesser of two evils? Answer: Don’t vote for either of them.
