The new store will have a hot food bar with more than 30 dishes, a poke bar, a bakery, a shave ice stand, a juice bar, and a wine and craft beer bar. It also will have a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf shop.
The store will be open daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Foodland Farms will have a full-time concierge on duty, as well as a will-call service to hold groceries should customers wish to continue shopping in Ala Moana Center.
There also will be 15-minute parking stalls near the storefront.
Foodland Ala Moana first opened on Aug. 13, 1959, as one of the original tenants at Ala Moana Center. It was originally located in the area that is now the center’s food court.
Foodland moved to a spot near the post office and Sears in June 1986.
Foodland has 33 stores, including Ala Moana, and employs more than 2,500 at Foodland, Sack N Save and Foodland Farms stores on four islands.
