Hawaii island police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted for questioning in connection with a car theft in Kona.
Police said the man was captured on a surveillance camera and officers want to ask him about a gold Subaru Outback that was taken from a shopping center parking lot.
The theft happened between 6:45 and 7:15 a.m. on Aug. 6 in the 75-5800 block of Alii Drive.
Anyone with information about the man’s identity is asked to call police at 935-3311 and ask for officer Erich Jackson. Tipsters who want to remain anonymous can call CrimeStoppers at 961-8300.
Police need help with Walgreens robbery
Maui police are asking for help in identifying a man who robbed the Kahului Walgreens at about 5:50 a.m. Sunday.
The male suspect is described as about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing between 150 and 180 pounds, possibly with a tattoo on the left side of his neck.
