FBI: Hawaiian Airlines incident ‘not an intentional threat’
The FBI released two Hawaiian Airlines passengers who were detained by federal authorities Wednesday night after flight attendants noticed suspicious behavior on a flight to Seoul, which had to return to the islands.
Hawaiian flight 459 left Honolulu Airport at 2:45 p.m. with 286 passengers.
In a statement, Hawaiian said the aircraft returned at 8:35 p.m. after flight attendants reported suspicious behavior by a passenger about three hours into the flight.
The plane was met by FBI agents after landing safely at the airport.
The FBI said “in an abundance of caution,” the FBI, state Department of Public Safety and Transportation Security Administration personnel inspected the plane and its contents.
“Our investigation indicates that the incident in question was not an intentional threat to the crew or passengers on board the plane,” said Matthew McDonald, FBI Supervisory Special Agent, in a written news release.

what kind of suspicious activity? Geez.
They were releasing methane gas in the form of kimchee farts.
WMD.
OMG LOL !!!
Airline personnel are quick to pull the plug when they encounter any behavior that might be interpreted as suspicious. I was on a flight to Hawaii years ago and some man was complaining loudly about his seat location. I was surprised that he was warned and then quickly removed from the flight. The man was astonished.
Was it because he was sitting next to you? lol
It’s a secret.
SA does not do any real reporting. Much easier and cheaper to just take what the authorities tell you and print that and call it news.
What can we expect? They don’t even hire proofreaders, much less reporters to go out and dig around.
agree..I have said the same many times.
SA, stop being a tease!
ummmm..if guys find me to be a cute tease, I cannot help it. Not responsible for their feelings.
Allie, in your mind. In your own mind…
no, hon. In your mind. Or so we are told.
I’ll teach you things that will make you sing for months Ms. Allie. All I need is one night with you and you will be set for life.
bring two condoms. one for you and one for him. just in case things escalate that far.
cholo is what he is but hey, I was just teasing above. Geesh. Calm down!
hahahaha today is a good day! cholo thanks allie
click bait…again
What’s with these South Korean flights? Wait, I didn’t say that. Blunt or Klastri might be in the wings. Or on the wings for that matter…
What’s that again? Smoked a blunt and now you’re out on the wing?
What authorities won’t tell us is that this was a very carefully orchestrated and executed “test” by law enforcement to see how passengers and crew members would react to such a situation.
Define “suspicious behavior”…please!
Were they acting like Harold and Kumar trying to smoke weed in the bathroom?
Suspicious behavior! Can you be more vague, please?
Did you ever read an article that said nothing ??? Geez And I pay for this nothing
