With all the hype about hepatitis A, consumers need to be aware of the risk, but there is no need to give up on their favorite restaurants — like Genki Sushi. The state Health Department has identified the likely source: Raw frozen scallops served at 11 Genki Sushi restaurants, all of which have been temporarily closed. Let’s remember that Genki did not knowingly serve contaminated scallops. The product came from a distributor who also wasn’t aware of the contamination. Customers are encouraged to return to Genki’s conveyor belts once the chain is back in operation. In addition, patronize those shops that reported having employees with hep A. We don’t want to see businesses going out of business.
Pokemon Go starts to get annoying, for some
You’ve seen them: crowds of people milling about on sidewalks and medians, staring into their smartphones, hunting for virtual creatures.
Yes, Pokemon Go gets video gamers off the couch. But for some folks, this feature can be pretty annoying. In fact, the game has prompted a federal class-action lawsuit by a couple in Michigan, who are fed up with hundreds of players, following GPS coordinates, invading their neighborhood.
Perhaps it’s a reminder for Pokemon Go players to ease up a bit on their obsession. Or look up at the sky instead of down at their devices. The moon was full last night. It should be beautiful tonight, too.
