Worms found in burgers at 2 Kentucky McDonald’s restaurants
MAYFIELD, Ky. » At least two people have reported finding worms in food from McDonald’s restaurants in Mayfield and Draffenville.
Mayfield resident Madison Stephens tells WPSD-TV that she visited the local McDonald’s on Sunday and purchased food for her and her 1-year-old son. She says that as she was about to bite into her hamburger, a live worm fell out.
At the McDonald’s in Draffenville, about 25 miles away from Mayfield, Lacey Jo Lovett says she also found a worm in her burger on Tuesday.
Stephens says she contacted McDonald’s about the incident, and they sent her a $10 gift card.
McDonald’s spokesman Michael Love says in a statement that the company is investigating and will “take all appropriate measures to resolve the matter.”

Regarding: “She says that as she was about to bite into her hamburger, a live worm fell out.”
Doesn’t make sense to me. I would think cooking a patty would kill any worm present.
Maybe be a “Get Rich Quick” scheme.
The worm could have been in the lettuce or tomatoes. They don’t cook those items.
Possibly… but not all McD’s burgers contain lettuce or tomatoes.
Relish, sliced pickles, “special” Sauce along with a patty what some burgers come with.
Maurader has a point. A McD hamburger on the dollar menu menu does not have lettuce. A Big Mac has shredded lettuce but not much. In the past many scammers have planted stuff like pins or even a rat part hoping to score big on a lawsuit against the restaurant.
probably from the lettuce or tomatoes not the hamburger meat
yikes!
Do you want fries with that?
Worms are extra lean protein; ironically, much better for you than the hormone-laden BEEF.
You’re probably right.
No photo in this photo/video driven world?
Proof.
They should have been charged extra for the live protein, per Bear.
Back to the healthy meal deal.
A $10 gift card? Reminds me of the old joke, “If you didn’t like your dinner, the next one is on the house.”
