The Hawaii soccer team remained unbeaten with a 2-0 victory over Idaho tonight at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium.
UH (4-0-1) won its fourth straight game by scoring its two goals just 38 seconds apart in the 80th minute. First, Addie Steiner earned a penalty kick for the Rainbow Wahine after being taken down from behind in the box. Raisa Strom-Okimoto converted the PK for her team-high third goal of the season.
Then, just after the opening tap on resumption of play, Strom-Okimoto slotted a through ball ahead to Kellsie Gleason, who lobbed her first goal of the season up and over the goalkeeper for Idaho (1-2-1).
UH continues play in the Outrigger Soccer Classic at 7 p.m. Friday against Saint Mary’s to conclude a six-game homestand.
