Promising outsiders, Trump team led by Christie insiders

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie laughs at a question from the media after speaking in Trenton, N.J. Donald Trump is pledging that the government he appoints will bring sweeping change to Washington’s culture. So far, that promise comes with a heavy New Jersey accent.

TRENTON, N.J. >> Donald Trump is pledging that the administration he leads will bring sweeping change to Washington. So far, that promise comes with a heavy New Jersey tilt.

Chris Christie was passed over as Trump’s running mate, but the New Jersey governor and some of his closest allies could leave a lasting mark on a Trump administration, should Trump win the presidency in November.

Christie is chairman of Trump’s transition team. He’s assembling a team of advisers who would be set to help run federal agencies and put in place Trump’s policies.

A fat man giving counsel to a stupid man…..nice couple.

Ha! I love it. Bring on the double whoppers with cheese. I guess fat boys rule.

I would think that someone as determined and driven as Chris Christie is would have the will power and perseverance to control his weight. Sure, some of us are heavier than others, but to the extent that he is morbidly obese, and for his own health and quality of life, he really should pay more attention to his physical well-being. If he can’t even focus sufficiently enough to care for himself, how is going to be an effective transition leader which requires stamina, focus, and a healthy body/mind?

I’m sure this story has a point. Maybe I could figure it out if I had been educated at a prestigious Ivory league school. In the meantime Hillary escapes any kind of scrutiny from the cowardly and corrupt media. She’s allowed to hide and avoid questions that could potentially make her look bad. Could it be that her poor health and the memory loss she experiences is the reason why she is kept from the public? She will have to debate Trump soon. It should be interesting.

It’s “Ivy League”, not “Ivory League”. Perhaps you’re confusing it with “Ivory Tower”. And you do NOT need to attend an ivy league school in order to be intelligent, have common sense, and be logical.

      • CEI says:

You say Ivy league, I say Ivory league. Please stay on point and allow me to wallow in my own ignorance. The larger issue is Where’s Waldo? Has she been hospitalized? Is she meeting with filthy rich donors? Is she deleting more e-mails? Is she getting fitted for another Dr. Evil suit? I’m deeply concerned her effectiveness as a leader will be compromised due to her lack of stamina and rapidly decaying mind.

          You poor thing!

        • Smiling says:

Give me a break. The candidate is consistently and continually on the campaign tail….talk about stamina !! She never stops !! Where have you been ?…..oh, supporting Trump….nothing more to add to this stupidity.

  6. Ikefromeli says:

Word on the street is that Christie didn’t get the VP nod as between his rotund gut and Trump’s obese ego they both couldn’t fit in a vehicle together. What a lovely couple-not.

    Trump doesn’t listen to advisers.

  8. CEI says:

What’s being ignored here is the historical significance of a Trump presidency. Since progressives seem to obsess over the first – fill in the blank – this or that, you’d think they would jump at the chance to elect the nation’s first reality show president. After all, so much of the food stamp democrat base spends their leisure time watching the formulaic and brainless waste of time programming, they’re a ready made Trump army. Couple that with Gov. Christie who is the poster boy for “don’t let this happen to you” fast food addiction and it’s a winning ticket all around.

The Clingons got the race in the bag yet continue to hurl insults. It’s like Michigan or Cal running up the score. Real sports men. No class. I guess they didn’t teach you the Golden Rule at Clingon University.
What has the Democrats done for Hawaii except raise taxes, rail, Hirono, Hanabusa, Schatz, Ige, Abercrombie. and a whole plethora of ineffective politicians?

A more accurate headline might have been “Promising outsiders, Trump team led by Christie insiders (except those who are on trial for Bridgegate)”
