This “fried” yogurt I tried while on a visit to Xian, China, was recommended to me by a friend. What’s really interesting about this street snack is that it starts off as regular yogurt mixed with fruit (mango here), then it’s placed on a big metal pan that turns it into bite-sized chunks. I suspect it’s somehow frozen because the morsels were cold rather than hot. My cup is topped with peanuts and azuki beans. I found it to be a refreshing snack, well worth trying if you’re ever in Xian.
