The woman, believed to be in her 60s, was brought ashore, where lifeguards began immediate life-saving efforts until paramedic and firefighters arrived.

The woman was transported to Napili Park, where a medevac helicopter was waiting to take her to Maui Memorial Medical Center.

Hope she’ll be OK. When I paddled the engine would be in neutral while paddlers climbed into the escort boat.
